Using furniture with threaded inserts

Threaded inserts are the best way to attach a glide to a piece of furniture. They insert fits up inside the leg of the item and allows for other parts to be fitted inside it, such as a caster wheel or glide. Once in place, this is then secure enough that the furniture can be used as normal, and these can be swapped out or removed without doing damage to the furniture in question.

Inserting the wrong sized threaded inserts

There are some risks to the health of the furniture if the wrong insert is fitted. This includes the glide or caster coming out, or coming loose and wearing at the side of the leg. To avoid this, those looking for threaded inserts should make sure they check the sizes they need thoroughly and only order from a reputable seller who uses good manufacturing techniques and the finest materials.
