Preventing workplace wear and tear with industrial glides

In the workplace, one of the biggest risks to furniture is wear and tear. This is why employers need to protect their items from damage as best they can. Putting industrial glides on the bottom of the furniture is the best way to make sure it can move effortlessly along the floor when needed while also preventing heavy items from leaving dents and imprints that could also cause lasting problems.

How industrial glides differ to plastic ones

Unlike regular glides, industrial glides are manufactured to last longer and be more hard-wearing. This means that they are often made from a harder metal such as steel, and have much more carefully formed parts. In the case of adjustable glides, this also means thicker and more resistant threads on which the item will rest. The one element to consider with these items is the cost, as they will normally be more expensive than those made from wood or plastic.
