Solving the problem of uneven surfaces with adjustable glides

Sometimes uneven surfaces on furniture are not as a result of the item’s legs. This problem can also be caused by flooring that is uneven, such as cobbled or stone floors, or hardwood. In older buildings, floors can sag a little and carpet can wear away. All of these things can cause problems to four or five-legged furniture, but adjustable glides can be the perfect solution.

Working with adjustable glides

Adjustable glides are made to be easy to adjust, with just a simple screw of the parts to either lengthen or shorten the element. Some come with extended threads so that they can be lengthened much more than regular glides, and they also come in a range of styles to match every need. The good thing about these items is that they can be used as regular glides until the time comes to make them longer or shorter, and even then it is still possible to adjust them as many times as is necessary.
